Before I get started, I am no expert at saving money, but while saving for Atlanta, I have learned a lot.

Download the Digit app
This is my favorite app when it comes to saving money. You can create saving goals for specific events and the app will save for you. With this app, it will pull a certain amount from your bank account everyday and put it in your savings goal. I suggest not linking your primary checking account and using your back up checking account. I say this because it pulls money based on your spending habits and the amount in your account.

2. Save 5,000 in a 100 days.
You start with 100 envelopes and write one number from 1-100 on each envelope. You then shuffle the envelopes and place them into a bucket or basket. Each day you draw an envelope and whatever number you draw, you place that amount of cash inside and you do this for 100 days until the envelopes are filled. The only tedious thing about this, is taking money out to ATM daily to stuff the envelopes. However, there is an alternative to this problem. Instead of stuffing the envelopes with cash, you can just transfer money to your savings account.
3.Pay majority of your bills in your first check.
I found out that when I payed majority of my bills with my first check, I was able to save more money in the end. Also, I had more money to spend on material things.
4. Use Afterpay and Klarna
At first, I was hesitant to use these, but babyyyyyy let me tell you what..... I will keep using these till the end lol. Instead of spending 400 dollars at once, it breaks down the payments and it helps me save soo much money.
5. Put away that credit card
Only use your credit card for emergencies!! Once you start using it, you're going to find yourself swiping it frequently and now your in debt. My mother always told me if you cant buy it three times, then don't buy it. PUT THE CARD AWAY.
i been doing my envelopes forever lol. And downloaded digit. My goal is to for sure finish my envelopes March/Apri.
i swear saving is my BIGGEST issue. i was gonna try the 1-100 or 1-200 challenge but i would be mad if day 2 i pick $200. lol
